Cookies
A cookie is a small file a site stores on your device, or a similar piece of storage such as localStorage. This page explains what packagematrixgrid.digital uses, how long it lasts, who sets it, and how to accept, reject, or clear it. The privacy notice explains how we handle personal data more widely.
What we use them for
Essential. The banner needs to remember whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies. That memory is stored in localStorage under the key packagematrixgrid_cookie_consent. Without it, the banner would appear on every page load. The site’s pages, enquiry form, and briefing information work if you reject.
Analytics (optional). Only if you press Accept. We then allow a first-party record so we can see which journal articles are opened. If you press Reject, that record is not set. Rejecting does not hide briefings, fees, or the form.
We do not use advertising networks on this site.
Cookie and storage table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| packagematrixgrid_cookie_consent | Stores Accept or Reject so the banner does not return every visit | 12 months (localStorage until you clear the site data) | Packagematrixgrid |
| pmg_page_view | Counts a journal or briefing page opening so we know what is read | 6 months | Packagematrixgrid |
| pmg_session | Keeps a short visit together (optional analytics) | Session (until the browser is closed) | Packagematrixgrid |
Essential storage is listed first. The two analytics names are set only after Accept. Durations are maximums; you can clear them sooner.
Third-party cookies
The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. Google may receive your IP address and set cookies according to its own policies when those files are requested. We do not control those cookies. If you block third-party cookies in the browser, the pages still work; type may fall back to a system font.
Images on some pages are requested from public libraries (for example Pexels or Unsplash). Those hosts may see the request. They are not our analytics cookies.
How to accept, reject, or change your mind
The banner on the first visit offers Accept and Reject with equal weight. Your choice is stored under packagematrixgrid_cookie_consent. To change it, clear that key (or all site data) for packagematrixgrid.digital in your browser settings, then reload; the banner will appear again.
You can also block or delete cookies in the browser itself (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge each have a settings panel for this). Blocking all cookies may forget your banner choice.
If you disable cookies
Essential pages remain available. The banner may keep appearing if storage is blocked. Optional analytics will not run. The enquiry form does not depend on analytics cookies.
